RESUME

Durant la seconde guerre mondiale, Rafe, pilote de l'US Air Force, est mobilisé en Europe. Sa bien aimée Evelyn et son ami d'enfance Danny sont transférés à Pearl Harbor. Rafe ayant été porté disparu, Evelyn et Dave entament une liaison. Rafe reviendra pourtant, à l'aube d'un jour déterminant pour l'humanité : le 7 décembre 1941.
